BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Kern County Assistant District Attorney Scott Spielman is leaving the Kern County District Attorney's Office for the Tulare County District Attorney's Office.

Spielman will be a Supervising Attorney in the Tulare County D.A's Office.

Spielman says next week will be his last week in Kern County. He will begin his new role in Tulare County on January 22.

Spielman ran against Cynthia Zimmer this year to replace retiring Kern County District Attorney Lisa Green. Zimmer will become the Kern County District Attorney in 2019.
