KCSO: Missing woman in the Kern River found safe

KERN COUNTY, Calif. — UPDATE:

According to Kern County Sheriff's office, the missing woman was spotted by the KCSO Helicopter, and was able to direct the Search and Rescue team to her.

Officials say the woman is okay, and safely out of the water.

Kern Valley Search and Rescue is currently conducting a search for a missing woman in the Kern River.

According to the Kern County Sheriff's Office, "a witness last saw the 41-year-old woman as she was going down river in a circular inflatable raft off Keysville Beach at Keysville North."

Among those participating in the search are KCSO Kern Valley deputies, Air Support, Kern Valley Search and Rescue, and the Kern County Fire Department. In addition to boats and deputies on the ground, a helicopter has been called in to search from the air.
