The Kern County Board of Supervisors is asking for public comments from anyone potentially impacted by the governor's increase in regulations on the oil industry.
In November, Governor Gavin Newsom issued a moratorium on permits for wells using high-pressure steam to extract oil.
The board is asking for the oil community to attend Tuesday's meeting to discuss the economic impacts the restrictions cause.
Members of the governor's administration said they will attend the meeting to discuss how the state's restrictions impact locally.
