RIDGECREST, Calif. — Today marks the one month anniversary of the 7.1 magnitude earthquake that rocked Ridgecrest and Trona and the community is still coming together to support one another.

After back-to-back days of powerful quakes hit the region and caused damage Ridgecrest and Trona were left reeling. But in the days since, Kern County has shown its giving spirit by helping those impacted by the quakes.

A relief concert held Saturday night in Ridgecrest brought the impacted communities together to raise money to benefit the earthquake victims.

"Things like this really bring our community together and we are very thankful to have other groups and like-minded people who are just willing to go out of their way and bring unity to this place," said Cedric Knight of the band Foreseers, which performed at the concert.

Tickets to the concert were $5 each with that money going to the Ridgecrest Lions Club to help those that need it most. Hundreds came out to support their fellow community members and enjoyed a night of music, activities, and togetherness.
