BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — This weekend is expected to be a hot one here in Kern County.
To give people some relief every cooling center in the area will be opening their doors Saturday.
There are a total of 10 cooling centers in Kern County including four in Bakersfield, two in Delano and one in Shafter, Taft, Arvin, And Ridgecrest.
People are welcome to bring drinks, games, food and other forms of entertainment to the cooling centers—however alcohol is not allowed.
