Kern County coroner needs help identifying male body found in almond orchard in McFarland

MCFARLAND, Calif. — The Kern County coroner said it is requesting the public's help in identifying a "John Doe".

According to the coroner, its office has been unsuccessful in identifying the deceased man who was found in the area of Perkins Avenue, approximately ½ mile west of Stradley Avenue in an almond orchard in McFarland on December 1, 2017.

Officials described "John Doe" as a man around 18 to 24 years of age, possibly Hispanic, of medium build, 5’ 6” and 183 pounds. He had short black hair and a thin mustache. He was wearing a gray t-shirt, blue athletic style pants with yellow vertical lines across the outside of both legs, and two black work style boots. No birth marks or tattoos were present.
