(Update) Kern County Elections Office updates ballot count to 123,562 still remaining.

The Kern County Elections Office has updated their website to reflect thousands of additional ballots that have been counted Saturday afternoon.

In a press release, the elections office announced that there are still 157,016 ballots that need to be counted.

Of that figure, 117,016 ballots are "unprocessed Vote by Mail ballots" and about 40,000 ballots are conditional voter registration and provisional ballots, according to the release.

The elections office anticipates another update on Tuesday.
