Kern County Fire tweeted that the Thief Fire has been stopped and the recommend evacuations have been lifted.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office said it is assisting Stallion Springs Police Department and Bear Valley Police Department in mandatory home evacuations in the area of Percheron Place and Morgan Court.
Officials have also recommended at least 285 residents living in a quarter mile radius of Cummings Court to evacuate.

According to Kern County Fire, crews are working to put out a one-structure involved fire that is threatening several homes near Horsethief Drive and Cummings Court in Stallion Springs.
Kern County Fire tweeted that the fire is about six to eight acres in size.
