UPDATE: Sgt. Knaggs with the Kern County Fire Department says the scene is all clear. The hazmat team fixed the leak and monitored the issue for some time before leaving the property. The cause of the leak is still under investigation.

The Kern County Fire Department is on scene of an ammonia leak at a cold storage facility south of Delano.
It happened around 1:00 a.m. on Pond Road. Eighteen firefighters are on scene, as well as Kern Environmental Health.
KCFD says three people were taken to the hospital.
It's unknown what caused the leak. KCFD says the investigation is ongoing.
