On Wednesday, November 24, 2016, around 7:22 p.m., the Kern County Fire Department went to an overturned crane and discovered two trapped victims.
One victim was trapped under the cab at the front of the crane, and the other victim was trapped towards the rear under the main boom.
Two Kern County Fire Department Urban Search and Rescue units specializing in technical rescue were requested to assist with safely removing the two victims from under the 80-ton crane.
Both patients were transported by air ambulance to Kern Medical with serious injuries.
