Kern County Fire Department responds to collision in Tehachapi, one dead

TEHACHAPI, Calif. — Friday morning Kern County Fire Department responded to a car collision off Higline Road and Tehachapi Willow Springs Road.

The collision resulted in one fatality, and one major injury.

07/24/2020 Tehachapi, CA. This morning’s vehicle accident, off Highline Rd and Tehachapi Willow Springs Rd, sadly resulted in one fatality and one other person seriously injured. This accident was one of the thousands the Kern County Fire Department will respond to this year. At such accidents a rapid extrication is critical for the seriously injured patients trapped inside. The right tools and training help reduce the time it takes to rescue and treat trauma patients. “Jaws of Life” like the ones used on this rescue have been purchased through funding provided by The California Office of Traffic Safety.
