Just after 8 a.m. on Friday, November 23, the Kern County Fire Department received multiple calls for a building on fire near 1900 Niles Street.

Officials searched the building and found that there were no occupants inside and were able to prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring buildings.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
