The Kern County Fire Department stopped a fire from burning the inside of a single wide trailer on Wednesday.

At 6:07 a.m. KCFD was dispatched to a reported structure fire and when they arrived located flames outside quickly spreading toward a trailer.

Crews made an aggressive attack on the fire on Verna Street and protected exposures near the trailer.

Firefighters were able to stop the fire from burning the inside of the trailer.

Neighbors helped evacuate the one person inside of the trailer at the time of the fire. The occupant was treated for minor injuries by an on scene ambulance. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
