Recent storms cause flooding across Kern County

Recent storms cause flooding across Kern County
Posted

Storms from Saturday picked up where they left off on Sunday, this time in the foothills.

Many roads had debris and flowing or standing water on them forcing drivers to be more aware of what was around them and in front of them.

Several roads and highways were shut down for safety concerns including parts of Comanche Road on Edison Highway and eastbound lanes on highway 178.

Remember with wet road conditions to slow down and allow more room for breaking to avoid accidents.

Also keep a look out for debris and things that may have blown or floated into the road.

If you have any good pictures of areas that are flooded or you would like to report an area that is flooded please send us an email at news@kero.com.
