Several local and national musicians honored Oildale legend Merle Haggard on Sunday for the 2nd annual Haggard Boxcar Music Festival at the Kern County Museum. 

The festival featured music, food, drinks and vendors from around Kern County. Event officials say almost 600 people came out to enjoy the festival and they hope it continues to grow for years to come.
