Kern County Probation Search leads to firearm arrest and seizure

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Officers with the Kern County Probation Department's Mandatory Supervision Unit conducted a home call near 1900 Ming Avenue.

While at the home call, officers contacted Daniel Martinez, a probation search of the residence was conducted and officers located a loaded .40 caliber handgun and about 47 rounds of ammunition.

Martinez was arrested on a violation of mandatory supervision and charged with gun and ammunition related charges.
