The county released the public, redacted version of Manson's death certificate, on Monday, according to a TMZ report.
The gossip site reported that Manson's immediate cause of death was cardiac arrest, brought on by respiratory failure and metastatic colon cancer.
Kern County Public Health Department certified and registered Manson's death certificate last week.
Manson died at Mercy Hospital Downtown on Nov. 19. His body was then placed in the possession of the Kern County Sheriff's Office.

Probate court is determining who, if anyone, will receive Manson's remains and any of his possessions. At one point, there were at least two parties who say they have claims to those remains.

When he died, Manson was serving life without parole for orchestrating five murders, including actress Sharon Tate's murder in 1969.
