The evacuation recommendations for the areas have been lifted and residents may return home.
Although the flooding threat is now minimal, residents should continue to be aware of their surroundings, monitor local weather, and be prepared to respond appropriately during emergencies.

Kern County Fire is recommending evacuations for those in the Kelso Creek communities. You are strongly advised to leave and seek shelter away from this area.
Flood waters are moving down Kelso Creek with the possibility of levee breaches along the creek.
Residents in the communities of Power Tracts, Weldon Valley Ranchos and Valley Estates are recommended to evacuate as quickly as possible.
A recommended evacuation means that flooding is an imminent threat and all persons in the affected area are strongly advised to leave and seek shelter away from the area.
A recommended evacuation will likely be the last warning given.
