BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Kern County representatives, TJ Cox and Kevin McCarthy both reacted on Friday to the arrest of the suspected Northern California cop killer.
Representative-Elect TJ Cox released a statement sending his deepest condolences to the family of Corporal Ronil Singh and commented on the arrest of his suspected killer 32-year-old Gustavo Perez Arriaga.
"My deepest condolences go out to the family of Corporal Ronil Singh. His death in the line of duty as he worked to make our communities safer is a terrible tragedy," Cox said. "I am very grateful to our law enforcement officials, across the Valley, who put their lives on the line and worked tirelessly in bringing Cpl. Singh’s alleged murderer to justice."
Representative Kevin McCarthy also commented on the arrest, thanking Sheriff Donny Youngblood and KCSO for their work.
