Hard Freeze warning in effect for Kern County

Kern County residents are waking up to a hard freeze warning, Wednesday morning. 

Residents should expect freezing and temperatures below 30 degrees. The warning is expected to last until 8 a.m. 

The National Weather Service is warning residents of the freezing temps that could have an impact on outside vegetation, exposed water pipes could burst and animals should be let inside. 

In areas like Tehachapi, residents should be wary of icy conditions. Snow mixed with freezing temps could cause icy roadways.
