Search and rescue crews were sent to the Mt. Pinos area to assist the Kern County Fire Department Wednesday night, according to the Kern County Sheriff's Office. 

Officials said the fire department was called out for an injured cyclist near "The Y", north of McGill trail and fire officials asked KCSO to send search and rescue crews to help locate the cyclist around 8:30 p.m. 

KCSO officials did not have information regarding the cyclist's condition. 

At last check with the sheriff's office, crews were still looking for the person.
