BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — (UPDATE 7:05 p.m.) The Kern County Sheriff's Office says a young girl who is autistic and nonverbal has been found safe.

Officials put out a missing person bulletin around 6:30 p.m. after the young girl had been missing for nearly an hour in Rosamond.

Around 7 p.m. officials put out a second bulletin saying the young girl was found safe and thanking the community for their help.
