Kern County Sheriff's Office executes search warrant, find narcotics, guns

The Kern County Sheriff's Office Gang Suppression Unit as well as the Gang Suppression Investigation Unit were working an investigation into a home located near the 8200 block of Gail Marie Drive, which resulted in the units obtaining a search warrant. 

After obtaining a search warrant for the home the Kern County Sheriff's Office Special Weapons and Tactics team detained several people, found two guns, and packaged narcotics for sale. 

60-year-old Ruben Sanchez was one of the men detained and was arrested for sale of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm by gang member, felon in possession of firearm, possession of a controlled substance while in possession of a firearm, and maintaining a home for the purpose of sale of a controlled substance, Sanchez' bail was been set at $167,500. 

Francisco Estrada was also arrested for possession of a firearm by a gang member, participation in a criminal street gang, possession of a short barreled riffle, felon in possession of a firearm, and a felony warrant for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Estrada's bail has been set at $155,000. 

Both Sanchez and Estrada were booked into the Central Receiving Facility.
