The Kern County Sheriff's Office held its post Academy Graduation and swearing in ceremony on Thursday.
That ceremony was live streamed Thursday morning.
Sherrif Youngblood said, "Thank you for what you did. Thank your families for the time they went through because they went through this as well. You went through extraordinary this last 6 months, and I'm proud of you. I accept you in the organization and know that our future looks really, really bright. So, thank all of you and congratulations."
The ceremony started around 9 a.m. KCSO said this year's class experienced an academy like no other, as it was going on when the pandemic hit.
All of the members of this class were wearing face coverings and were six feet apart as they were honored.
Congrats to the new Deputy Sheriffs!
