The Kern County Sheriff's Office has identified the man who jumped into the Kern River to save a juvenile that was in distress.
According to the KCSO, 36-year-old Marvin Leonel Sequen Sicajau jumped into the river on June 14th about 1 mile east of the Upper Rich Bar Day use area shortly after 2 p.m. He was found two days later.
His death was ruled as an accidental drowning.
23ABC confirmed that the juvenile was rescued from the river and is safe.
