Update: Kern County Sheriff deputies are investigating a shooting that left a 76-year-old man dead in Oildale.

Deputies were called out around 2:20 p.m. to the 4000 block of North Chester Avenue for reports of a victim of a shooting.

When they arrived the victim was dead at the scene.

The Kern County Sheriff's Office is on the scene of a shooting on Tee Lane in Oildale.
