DELANO, Calif. — The Kern County Sheriff's Office has a person in custody suspected of shooting and killing a man in Delano Monday.

Officials with KCSO said around 3 p.m. Monday deputies were called out to the 10000 block of San Jose Avenue in Delano near County Line Road for reports of a subject down.

When deputies arrived they found a man with gunshot wounds and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

KCSO said officers had suspect in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
