Kern County Sheriff's Office is investigating after receiving a report of human remains near Mojave.

According to KCSO they were dispatched to the area of Frontage road and Dawn Road after someone reported finding human remains.

Deputies arrived and confirmed the remains and homicide detectives took over the investigation.
