Kern County Sheriff's Office invites community to National Night Out on August 6

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Sheriff's Office is inviting the community to National Night Out on August 6.

It's happening at KCSO headquarters at 1350 Norris Rd. from 6- 8 p.m.

According to KCSO, you can expect all the specialized units to be out with booths or hands on activities including SWAT, the Bomb Squad, Gang Unit, Search and Rescue teams, K-9 units and more.

There will also be frozen custard from Freddy's Frozen Custard, music, raffle prizes and a petting zoo on behalf of the Office of Senator Shannon Grove.

National Night Out is an event that is celebrated by law enforcement agencies across the nation to promote positive relationships between residents and law enforcement to improve community safety.
