KCSO is investigating a shooting at Hart Park

The Kern County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting at Hart Park. 

The shooting happened just after 7:35 p.m. Officials said a 23-year-old was injured and transported to Kern Medical. The  victim suffered two gunshot wounds to his upper body and is expected to live. 

Witnesses said the suspects fled in a black Dodge pickup truck traveling west on Alfred Harrell Highway. 

Two men, identified as 48-year-old Roberto Bravo and 52-year-old Martin Sanchez, were detained and arrested on Fairfax Road. The truck was searched and towed into evidence.

The relationship between the victim and the shooter is still unknown at this time and the identities of the two suspects have not been released. 

Both Bravo and Sanchez now face attempted murder charges.
