Kern County Sheriff's Office looking for help in identifying armed robbery suspect

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in an attempted robbery of a convenience store in the 900 block of Sterling Road in Bakersfield.

According to the KCSO, "the suspect entered the business, brandished a handgun and demanded money. The victim refused to give the suspect money and instead called 911. The suspect fled in a blue or gray sedan waiting nearby."

The incident occurred on August 6, 2019.

The suspect is described as being a black male, between 25 and 32 years of age. He stands approximately 6 foot 3 inches tall and weighs about 175 lbs.
