Two missing girls from East Bakersfield have been located

UPDATE (Dec. 5, 2016, 10:29 a.m.): Both missing girls have been located.

The missing juvenile notice by the Kern County Sheriff's Office has been cancelled.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s assistance in locating two missing juveniles.

7-year-old Lataija Brown and 9-year-old Malaija Harold were last seen on December 4, 2016, around 9:00 p.m. at 1524 Mount Vernon Avenue in east Bakersfield. They both regularly attend Horrace Mann Elementary School and board the school bus in the area of Palm Drive and Pacific Street.

Latajia is a black female, 4'9", 90 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a multi-colored shirt with blue capri pants. Malajia is a black female, 4'9", 90 pounds with golden brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black shirt with black tights.
