Missing elderly man suffering from dementia found safe in San Francisco

UPDATE: Salvador Garza was located by San Francisco Police and is fine condition.


The Kern County Sheriff’s Office has asked for help locating a missing elderly man suffering from dementia.

Officials said 87-year-old Salvador Garza of Frazier Park was last seen Wednesday morning around 9 a.m., driving toward I5, possibly traveling northbound toward the San Francisco area.

He was reportedly wearing a white shirt and jacket with blue jeans, driving a 2008 tan-colored Hummer (CA License 6FGT201) from Lebec, CA.

KCSO confirmed that Garza suffers from the early stages of dementia.
