Kern County Sheriff's Office searching for suspects in armed robbery

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern County Sheriff's Office is asking the public's help in identifying two suspects that were involved in an armed robbery in Bakersfield.

According to the KCSO, deputies arrived at the Columbus Market on Alta Vista Drive to investigate a report of an armed robbery on September 18.

The store clerk reported "two black males wearing masks entered the store. One suspect was armed with a shotgun. An employee of the market grabbed the shotgun, but the suspect pulled it away, causing minor injuries."

The employee then produced a gun and fired a shot at the suspects who then fled.
