A walk for recovery was held at the park at Riverwalk from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Saturday.
It was the annual 5K/2K recovery walk. It cost 25 dollars to walk; and all the funds raised went to support the Mission of Teen Challenge of Southern California. This non-profit organization serves more than 200,000 men, women and children all across Southern California. It's one of the largest substance abuse and recovery programs of its kind.
People who pre-registered for the walk were given free t-shirts to wear. And snacks and drinks were provided throughout the walk.
