The Board of Supervisors approved a deal Tuesday morning that could bring $700,000 to Kern County to help fight the Asian Citrus Psyllid problem.

The Agriculture Commissioner’s Office is set to gain nearly $700,000 in funding from the state’s food and agriculture department.

The money will be used to cover labor, supplies and servicing of traps to battle the bug.
