WASHINGTON, D.C. (KERO) — The only female veteran on Honor Flight 42 was officially inducted into the Women in Military Service America Memorial.

Lynn Eckert, a U.S. Marine in Vietnam during the 1970s, left active duty in 1979.

Her record was added to the archive at this one-of-a-kind tribute to America's servicewomen past and present.
