BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The first baby of 2019 was born at Dignity Health Mercy Hospital Southwest.
Josias Hernandez was born at 12:02 a.m. and weighed 3 pounds 14 ounces. Baby Josias is currently in the NICU due to his size, but is healthy and doing great according to hospital officials.
Both of Josias' parents are from Bakersfield and he is their second child.
