The Kern County Workforce Summit came to town on Wednesday.

The summit and banquet offered businesses, education staff, community leaders, human resource professionals and students more information regarding topics in business. It also discussed the topics' impact on today's economy.

To end the event, there was also an award ceremony to celebrate and recognize students and employers for their involvement in moving local workforce forward.
