BAKERSFIELD, CA. — The Kern Energy Festival will highlight local energy companies that call Kern County home.

The daylong celebration is free and open to the public to educate the community on the positive impacts of energy and its impact on the local economy.

The event is presented by the non-profit organization, Kern Energy Foundation, in cooperation with local energy companies from the solar, wind and petroleum industries.

A popular “Kids Zone” area will include fun and interactive exhibits that teach about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Families can also enjoy several other activities including a bounce house, music, as well as food and beverage from local vendors.

The event takes place at the Kern County Museum from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
