BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Kern Health Systems has been closely monitoring the events resulting from the COVID-19outbreak.

An important element of this tracking is the access to care for Kern Family Health Care members.

KHS implemented a $25 Million COVID-19 Provider Financial Relief Program in an effort to adequetly serve its 258,000 members and providers.

Many KHS network providers experience a financial loss from medical appointments and elective procedures being canceled or postponed.

“Our network of providers are doing what’s necessary to serve our members and their patients and we must do our part to support this effort,” said Doug Hayward, CEO of Kern Health Systems. “Kern Health Systems will provide $25,000,000 in advance payments to primary and specialty care providers, FQHC clinics and other network providers financially harmed from the COVID -19 pandemic.”
