BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern High School district invited local government, businesses, and educational leaders to visit school sites within the district for the annual "Principal Partners' Day" on Wednesday.
KHSD said the annual "open house" was a half-day event allowing those partners to see activities at different schools, visit with teachers students and school officials.
Officials said the visit gives an in-depth look at the full range of school site programs and services, both academic and extracurricular.
This year's theme was "Better Together."
The day concluded with the presentation of the KHSD’s Jim Burke “Light and Liberty Award” for service to Kern County education at a luncheon at the Double Tree Hotel.
