1,200 students got a chance to practice their job interviewing skills Friday.
The Kern High School District Regional Occupational Center, or ROC, Mock Interview Day gave students an opportunity for a professional one-on-one to practice their employment skills with a member of the business community.
Students were asked to dress to impress, bring their resumes with them and prepare for a ten-minute interview. Volunteers helped the student go over communication skills, professional appearances, handshakes and resumes.
The goal for Friday's mock interview event was to prepare KHSD student to put their best foot forward to be hired when they apply for jobs.
