BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Kern Medical Epilepsy Center has received a level 3 accreditation from the National Association of Epilepsy Center.

Kern Medical is one of 239 accredited epilepsy centers in the country and the only adult center between Los Angeles and Sacramento.

“We have worked tirelessly to bring the highest level of care to patients living with epilepsy in the Central Valley,” says Kern Medical CEO Russell Judd, “and we look forward to helping as many patients and families as we can to manage this neurological condition.”

The NAEC accreditation indicates that the Kern Medical Epilepsy Center meets the necessary requirements for its level 3 designation.

These requirements include providing services such as pharmacology, surgery, care management, and rehabilitation in addition to ensuring access to experienced neurology and neurosurgical specialists with expertise in treating epilepsy as well as specialized safety and treatment protocols.
