School is starting soon and Kern Medical wants to remind families the simple things they can do to get children on the right health track for the school year:

• Gather and organize your child’s medical history records and emergency contact information
• Inform your child’s school about any health issues like asthma or allergies
• Schedule medical and dental checkups, including any immunizations needed, and vision and hearing tests
• Complete sports physicals and annual health physicals
• Start to set regular bedtimes now so that children are prepared to follow a school appropriate sleep schedule
