Kern County Honor Flight just got a huge donation. On Tuesday Ralph Bailey presented a check to Honor Flight on behalf of Kern Public Radio. He raised more than $50,000 for our local veterans.

Over the years Bailey has raised money for Honor Flight and helped send veterans to see monuments in their honor.

"It's the most rewarding things I've ever done in my career," said Bailey. "The three times I've done it, being associated with Lili and these great veterans. Being able to send, I think we're sending almost 40 veterans back to Washington, it's amazing."

Bailey also highlighted the importance of sending veterans to Washington. He said it is a way to honor those who have sacrificed to much for our county.
