BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Kern Veterans Memorial in downtown Bakersfield was vandalized on Monday.
One of the window panes of the memorial on Truxtun Avenue was shattered, according to the staff at nextdoor Visit Bakersfield. This is the second time in about eight months that a pane has been shattered.
The glass was cleaned up by 8 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Bakersfield Police confirmed they're investigating the incident as a possible act of vandalism.
Officers have not been able to determine how part of the memorial was shattered.
