According to the Associated Press, Congressman Kevin McCarthy of Bakersfield has been unanimously chosen as majority leader.
His Republican colleagues unanimously reelected McCarthy to his previous position on Tuesday, November 15.

Paul Ryan was also nominated to House Speaker, a seat he currently holds.
