KHSD to start meal distribution Sept. 4 following department of agriculture meal waiver extension

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Kern High School District is providing free meals to all children ages 2 to 18-years-old beginning on Friday following the extension of the U.S. Department of Agriculture meal waiver.

All 18 high schools and Nueva Continuation High School will hold drive-through meal distributions Monday through Friday, from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

Students need to be present to receive meals.

Meal distribution sites are as follows:

Bakersfield High School
Centennial High School
East High School
Foothill High School
Frontier High School
Golden Valley High School
Highland High School
Independence High School
Kern Valley High School
Liberty High School
Mira Monte High School
North High School
Nueva Continuation High School
Ridgeview High School
Shafter High School
South High School
Stockdale High School
West High School
