Posted

It's a big start to Memorial Weekend for Jonathan Davis. The lead singer for the metal rock band Korn released his debut solo album "Black Labyrinth" Friday. He will make a homecoming to Bakersfield Saturday to sign copies of his latest album.

Davis, 47, was born and raised in Bakersfield with music roots. His father played keyboard for Buck Owens and Frank Zappa. In 1994 his Bakersfield-based band Korn released the first of their 12 albums, self-titled "Korn".

"Black Labyrinth" is Davis' fourth side-project album away from Korn. He released two albums under Jonathan Davis and the SFA and another under Killbot.

After Saturday's signing, Davis will go on tour promoting "Black Labyrinth", mainly in Europe. His next scheduled show in California is at Monster Energy Aftershock 2018 in Sacramento on October 13th-14th.

Davis will be at the For Your Entertainment, FYE, at 4674 Ming Avenue, Bakersfield, on Saturday.
